Use the Perfect Speaker Cable for that Great Sound
Speaker cables remain one of the most indispensable components of your audio system and they establish electrical link between the audio amplifiers and the speakers. There are several of them available in the market; however, you will need to pick up the correct one keeping in mind your audio needs. The cables are all different for professional audio set up, audio set up for clubs and pubs or for your very own home theater system- so choose the correct one.
How to Find the Perfect One Cable
This is the most crucial aspect, as even a great speaker will not sound good, if you use cables of a poor quality. Well, needless to say, that it remains the most controversial topic in the domain of acoustic devices. Especially with technical jargon, things are more difficult than ever- skin effect, copper oxygen free wire, cable resonance, vacuum and so on, it is tough for the common man to choose the correct speaker cable.
Cables have a noteworthy impact on the quality of the sound that you will hear. Interestingly, most speakers do not include the appropriate cables and so choosing the correct one is confusing for most of us. You will need to choose the correct one keeping in mind the gauge, type and length that you may need for a great audio experience.
Factors that You should Consider
Though we may have a notion that there is no need to spend a fortune on cables, yet, it is important to consider certain things before buying them. However, those with a lower resistance definitely make a better choice. Consider the three most important things:
• Conductivity
• Length
• Thickness- cables with a lower gauge are much better
How to Decide the Gauge of your Cable
If you are thinking how to decide on the gauge of the wire that will give you the best sound, here are some helpful tips.
• Calculate the shortest and reasonable length of wire run.
• Check out the ‘nominal impedance’- which in most case you will get on the speakers or in the user manual. Multiply the same by 1.3- you will have an estimate.
• The trick lies in using the shortest possible cable with the largest possible conductors.
Important Factors to Keep in Mind
It is best to keep the length of the speaker wire within 50 feet for best acoustic experience. You can ward off the problems cropping up from other factors like inductance and capacitance, if you go for shorter cables. Equally important is to ensure that are cables are well made along with a connector at the end.

A mark of a good leader is to be able to provide consistent motivation to his team encouraging them to attain excellence and quality in their performance. A good leader is always looking for ways to improve production and standards. Here are six management skills you can develop as a leader in working to create a quality effective team.
1. Observation
This is an important aspect that often gets neglected due the demands on a leader’s time and schedule. Observation and regular visits to the work environment are a priority and should be scheduled into the calendar. Observing employees at work, the procedures, interaction and work flow is foundational to implementing adjustments to improve results. To have credibility, a leader needs to be seen and be known to be up to date with what is happening in the work place.
2. Monitor Employee Performance
Employee performance needs to be monitored in mutually accepted ways. Policies and procedures need to be clear. Conferencing should be on a regular basis and not just when there is a problem. Assessments and evaluations should not be merely all formality or viewed a necessary paperwork to be done and filed away. Individual and group conferencing should be undertaken not only to monitor performance, but with the expectation of on going professional development and support. There should be frequent encouragement and clear criteria for on going goals both for the group and individual.
3. Implementation of Professional Development Programs
A good leader evaluates weaknesses and provides training and development strategies to strengthen the weaker skills in the team.
4. Demonstrates Working Knowledge and Expertise
Good leadership comes from a place of strong knowledge and experience of the production and process leading to results. If a leader does not possess all the expertise and knowledge personally, then regular consultations with experts involved in the departments should be held. This is important in order to maintain an accurate and informed overall picture.
5. Good Decision Making
Good leadership is characterized by the ability to make good decisions. A leader considers all the different factors before making a decision. Clear firm decisions, combined with the willingness and flexibility to adapt and adjust decisions when necessary, create confidence in the leadership.
6. Ability to Conduct and Evaluate Research
On going review and research is vital in order to keep on the cutting edge in business. While managing the present to ensure on going excellence in product and performance, a good leader is also able to look towards the future. Conducting and evaluating research is an important way of planning and being prepared for the future.
Excellent leadership is always pro active rather than reactive. By developing these six managerial skills builds a solid foundation for success.

Aaaahhhhh, fuller, younger looking, pouty lips. Full lips are definitely a sign of “youth” but what happens to our lips when we begin to mature? Lips become thinner, less attractive and pretty soon, one just might give up wearing lipstick because the top lip virtually disappears, especially when smiling. When this shrinking act is apparent in the mirror, usually vertical lines begin to invade the lips making a mature women look positively ancient.
Women aren’t the only ones who want softer, fuller lips. Men whose lips are thin and hard may portray a steely attitude in the boardroom; however, men with fuller lips look more attractive, boyish and younger.
Lips are soft tissue and as a man or woman begins to mature, volume dissipates which means tissue shrinks.
There are many modalities for revitalizing soft tissue in lips; the old standby – bovine collagen, Zyderm® and Zyplast® has competition. Restylane®, CosmoDerm® and ComoPlast® (human {cadaver} collagen), Radiance®, Artecoll® and others have entered the market of “fillers”. These new fillers do not require skin testing for allergic reactions and they are all injected. The procedure time varies from 3-10 minutes and some patients relate that these types of injections can be painful. These services can be relatively expensive because they’re not permanent fixes and these injections must be repeated every few months to maintain lip fullness. The most common side effect, as with any injection, is redness, bruising and swelling at the injection site that typically last less than three weeks.
A more permanent lip procedure that is widely used is Gortex. Strips of Gortex (threads of foam-like material) are inserted into the lips; the lips do become somewhat larger after the procedure is completed but some users complain that their lips feel hard, not soft and supple. Some of these implants cannot be removed if a problem arises because the lip tissue grows into and around the implant. Possible complications include infection, migration or extrusion of the implants and lip asymmetry is a concern.
Another somewhat permanent solution is fat injections; a patient’s own fat is removed from usually the tummy or buttocks, washed and then re-injected into the lips. While this is probably a fairly safe modality, the fat tends to reabsorb rather quickly, deflating the lips.
Recently over the counter glosses, lipsticks, and other types of topical preparations have been introduced promising fuller, poutier lips with more definition and volume. Many cosmetic companies have jumped on this bandwagon promising the users that their special ingredients will produce full, luscious lips after a few weeks of use. In fact, there have been over 200 new products introduced to the marketplace in the last two years ranging in price from $6.99 to almost $40. Instead of traffic stopping lips, some of these topical products have produced burns, mouth sores and empty pockets.
Some cosmetic companies do use natural components in their formulas but some of the formulas may be misleading. No product can deliver the look of a collagen injection in a topical. How these products work is through the use of an irritating ingredient such as niacin, cinnamon, caffeine or peppermint; these ingredients may cause some temporary swelling via dilation of the blood vessels along with mild inflammation, giving the illusion of fullness. Some preparations require the user to rub the lips briskly for several minutes and this friction results in some degree of temporary swelling.
Many women and men want fuller lips because poutier lips make them feel sexier and more alluring. Consumers are willing to spend a lot of money to have “the look”; but not everyone agrees that the topicals deliver what they have promised. Dr. Sam Most, Chief of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Washington in Seattle asked seven women to use a certain topical whose website says their product increases actual lip volume and contour an average of 40.7 percent; Dr. Most said, “In subjects who used the product as directed over a long term there was no visible change in the lips.”
Is there an actual difference in using topical applications that promise full, pouty lips or is lipstick and a liner enough? Maybe Yoki Ono, a saleswoman at a Madison Avenue designer boutique, quoted in the NY Times, has the answer: “You might as well get some extra-spicy Buffalo wings and eat them.”
Or better yet, save yourself a bundle of cash and brush your lips with a baby’s toothbrush and petroleum jelly for about a minute, your lips will be fuller and soft – guaranteed!

The purpose of giving any speech is to be able to reach out and connect with your audience. No matter whether you are trying to inform them, entertain them, or convince them to take some action, none of this can be done unless you are able to make a connection with them. What you say is an important part of doing this, but did you know that what you wear also plays a role?
What Your Clothes Say About You
I’m hoping that most of us already know enough to “dress up” when we go to give a speech. If you pick up any popular book on public speaking, you’ll find advice like “be the best dressed person in the room” and such.
What’s interesting is that it’s probably too much of a simplification to think of our clothes as being just that – clothes. Instead, Karen Hudson who retired from the movie business says that we should think about what we are wearing as being costumes that are “scenery on the move“.
Now I can already see some of you starting to roll your eyes – I mean really, costumes? Give me just a minute to explain. Your time with your audience is limited - 15, 30, 60 minutes, right? You need to grab their attention, hold it, and make a difference in their lives.
What tools do you have to do this with? Sure your words are important. Probably how you say the words (pitch, tone, etc.) also play a role. However, what else do you have? Not much! If you can start to think about what you are wearing as being yet another speaking tool, then all of a sudden you’ve got another “lever to pull” to get your audience to connect with you.
Different Speeches Require Different Types Of Clothes
Not all speeches are the same. In fact, you need to be aware of what type of speech you will be giving and then you need to dress appropriately in order to lend even more power to your speech.
Speaking To Inform
When you are speaking to inform your audience you will be presenting either lots of information or technical concepts in order to make your point. When doing this type of speaking, first impressions are quickly made by your audience when they are trying to determine if they are going to make the effort to listen to what you have to say.
For this type of speech your goal is going to be to establish your credibility in the field in which you are going to be talking about at first glance. You have two things that you want to quickly accomplish: you want your audience to understand that you are an expert in this field, and you want them to accept your credibility for speaking to them. What all this means is that your clothes have to convey a sense of strength, power, and leadership to your audience.
Speaking To Inspire
Things change when the purpose of your speech is to inspire your audience to take some action. What you are trying to do is to relate a story to your audience in a way that will provide them with a new point-of-view that will cause them to make a change.
For this type of speech, you are not trying to overpower your audience with your credibility. Instead, what you really want to do is to be able to inspire your audience. This means that you want your audience to reach out to you – to accept your ideas as theirs and to then grow because of these ideas.
This means that you want to come across as being three things all at once: credible, authoritative, and accessible. From a clothing point-of-view, this means that you are going to want to be less formal than you would be for a speech in which you were speaking to inform. Your clothing should present your audience with a softer, more conversational image of you.
Speaking To Entertain
Arguably you have the widest range of clothing choices when you are giving a speech that is designed to entertain your audience. Ultimately you are going to be telling your audience a story and you hope that by doing this you’ll be able to grab their attention and hold on to it throughout your entire presentation. In the end your goal is to allow them to fully enjoy what you have to tell them.
Your clothing can be a key part of how you go about doing this. Depending on the story that you are going to be sharing with your audience, your clothing can set the stage before you even open your mouth. You can go all out and dress up in a full costume, or you can simply add a particular accessory to what you would normally wear (e.g. an Abraham Lincoln top hat) in order to make your audience eager to hear your story from the moment they first lay eyes on you.
Final Thoughts
Hudson points out that when she was taking a screenwriting class, she learned that each character mist contribute to the outcome of the story. You can say the same thing about the clothes that you wear to give a speech: each item must contribute directly to the telling of the story and its final outcome.
This leads to the three key guidelines that control what we wear when we are speaking:
The clothes should never take the focus off of you, the speaker.
No matter what you wear, you will need to be able to perform comfortable and effectively in the costume and accessories.
Time is of the essence – your costume should not tell more story that you have time to present.
Take the time to pick the clothes that you wear to match the speech that you will be giving and you’ll be able to intimately connect with your audience and make an lasting impact in their lives.

Box Building
Each type of sub requires it’s own type of box. If a sub is installed in a box larger or smaller than what is supposed to, it will sound distorted/bad and could be destroyed. Boxes can be built in many shapes, but it is important that the box volume is calculated accurately to achieve maximum performance.
Materials
A box MUST be very sturdy. Most common building materials are 5/8″ or thicker particle board or medium density fiberboard. If building a box with Plexiglas, do not use anything less that 1/2 inch thick. A common material used to mold complex shaped boxes is fiberglass, but it is very hard to work with, and require several layers for a smooth finish.
Gluing, Sealing
Glue should be used at all joints to fill any spaces. Any spaces will degrade the performance of your subs, not to mention the annoying noise air makes when being pushed out of a small hole. On applying the glue, let it cure for at least 24 hours before mounting the subs. This is a precautionary measure to protect the rubbers used to make the subs from the high fumes that some manufacturers glue products have.
Holding Joints Together
In connecting box joints, it is best to screw the joints every four inches or so using 2″ – 2-1/2″ screws. Pre-drill about 3/4″ deep, so that screws do not split the wood at the edges, especially when working with particle/dashboard.
Should I have a Box for Each Sub?
It is advised to have a separate chamber for each sub. Even though not necessary, here are two reasons why such a directive should be taken: First, if one of the subs blows, then the volume of the box will be “twice” as big for the one remaining working sub. This could cause problems and even damage the other sub. The second reason is bracing. Building a box with a divider in the middle will make the box more rigid.
Ports
Ports must be built into your box design to channel out the air made by the sub’s vibrations. If a pre-made port is not available, the most common material is PVC. PVC is very rigid, comes in different diameters. Cut the tubing at the desired length. Consider the volume the port takes up when calculating the box volume. Cut a hole in the box. Make sure the hole is as perfect as possible to minimize gaps between the box and the tube. A couple wood braces can be added for screwing the port top the box. Seal the gaps using a proper sealant (Evo Stick or even silicone can be used).
Bracing
Boxes that are more than a foot in width or length or height, should be braced so that the box becomes more sturdy. This can be accomplished with a piece of wood maybe 3 or 4 inches wide across the box). It is a good idea to put wood blocks on the corners for reinforcement. Always consider that blocks, braces, neon lights, etc. inside a box take up space and should be accounted for when calculating internal volume.
Damping/Filling
Damping increases subwoofer efficiency by dissipating some energy that affects the sub, particularly the voice coil. It is advisable to put damping material inside a box. Pillow polyfill and fiberglass insulation are common, though polyfill is a lot easier on your skin. Polyfill also “tricks” a sub into thinking it is in a bigger box. Play around with different amounts of polyfill until you get the desired results.
Making it look professional
Make the box surface free from holes and spaces by adding wood fill. If you decide to paint the box, then you should apply primer first. Carpet or Vinyl padding is the best covering to use since they easily cover any outer blemishes on the box and give the box a ’smooth’ outlook. Be careful when cutting the vinyl or carpet since such cutters tend to be very sharp. Cut a piece of carpet (or vinyl) big enough to cover the whole box. Apply adhesive to both box and carpet (EvoStick works great). Wait about a minute and place the fabric over the wood. For the best fit, stretch the fabric when applying it. The fabric should wrap around and end in a place of the box that will not be seen. Do one side at a time, cutting excess carpet. If possible, add staples preferably heavy duty staples that can penetrate the box, to hold the fabric at the ends. NOTE: Do not cover each panel of the box before mounting it together since it would be impossible to find any ‘leaks’ that may exist in the box design much less fill these leaks.

Before I define professional selling. Let’s look at some of the related professions. Below are some definitions of professions/occupations that relate to professional selling from Wikipedia:
Marketing is defined as an ongoing process of planning and executing the marketing mix (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) for products, services or ideas to create exchange between individuals and organizations
Advertising is defined as a form of communication that typically attempts to persuade potential customers to purchase or to consume more of a particular brand of product or service.
Public relations is defined as the practice of managing the flow of information between an organization and its audiences.
Sales Promotions is defined as the pre-determined actions designed to increase consumer demand, stimulate market demand or improve product availability for a limited time (i.e., contests, point of purchase displays, rebates, free travel, and sales incentives.)
What about the sales profession?
Notice in the above definitions, the profession is *not* defined as the individual. For example, marketing isn’t defined as “people who market.” Yet, the sales profession is often explained as “individuals who sell.” Therefore, selling shouldn’t be defined in this manner. Notice also, that the above professions are *not* defined by the activities of those individuals. In other words, the profession of advertising isn’t defined as “placing ads on television.” Therefore, selling shouldn’t be defined in this manner.
Academically, selling is thought of as a part of marketing, however, the two disciplines are completely different. Sales departments often form a separate grouping in a corporate structure, employing individuals who specialize in sale specific roles. While the sales process refers to a systematic process of repetitive and measurable milestones, the definition of the sales “profession” doesn’t exist (until now with this article).
So the questions become:
Who is “in” the profession and who is not?
How does selling relate to marketing, advertising, promotions, and public relations?
What shared competencies do individuals within the sales profession need?
How do these competencies align to roles in terms of focus and differentiation?
A definition should provide a meaning. To determine the meaning of the sale profession, it is useful to determine what the sales profession *must* contain.
The following three tenets are required for professional selling:
The focus of the sales profession centers on the human agents involved in the exchange between buyer and seller
Effective selling requires a systems approach, at minimum involving roles that sell, enable selling, and develop sales capabilities
A specific set of sales skills and knowledge are required to facilitate the exchange of value between buyers and sellers
Within these three tenets the following definition of profession selling is offered by the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD):
Professional Selling is:
”The holistic business system required to effectively develop, manage, enable, and execute a mutually beneficial, interpersonal exchange of goods and/or services for equitable value.”
Note: this definition was published by ASTD in 2009.
What does this definition accomplish?
First, it creates a definition of world class selling. An organization wishing to benchmark its selling effectiveness can leverage the above definition to clearly understand strengths and weaknesses. Without such a definition, most adjustments to the selling team are arbitrary and subjective. By understanding the system’s view required for selling effectiveness, organizations can look at indidual sales team members as well as sales team processes and tools and how they align to the buyer.
Second, it allows for more consistent results in performance through the clear establishment of roles regarding who is “in” and who is “out” of professional selling. For example, if it doesn’t involve a human agent, it is not within the sales profession — it’s a marketing function with a transaction (i.e., a “sale”). For this definition, sales operations, sales recruiters, and sales trainers are “in” the profession because they possess unique skills outside of their regular job titles. They posses knowledge and skill that is unique to enabling the definition.
Third, the definition lays the foundation for sales talent management/people strategies. With such a definition, sales development employees can create learning solutions that fit the unique aspects of a sales culture. At the same time, front-end recruitment strategies and more clearly tie to retention strategies.
Fourth, it helps organization on exemplary performance. By setting a bar with such a definition, organizations don’t have to settle for mediocre sales effectiveness. They can use the definition to help bridge the gap between sales capacity and sales team competency.

These are typical instructions following the procedure. Consult with your doctor to make sure these apply to you. Even though the plastic surgery costs for Hydrogel buttocks injections are a lot less than implants, it is still an investment and should be well looked after. Hopefully literally!
After the application of Hydrogel, the area will appear red and swollen for approximately 48 hours, also due to the strong massage given in order for the product to spread evenly under the skin. Some areas may seem larger than other areas, but they will even out in approximately two weeks.
There can be a small sepage of the Hydrogel after its application in the body area. It will subside after the first 48 hours.
The patient may feel some pain in the body area, similar to sore muscle pain after having exercised a lot, and there might be a slight increase in body temperature.
The swelling of the injected area will decrease after approximately 48 hours. That is why the touch up with Hydrogel will take place two days after, in order to see where the necessary corrections must be done.
Expect some reduction in volume, size and projection after the first treatment, it is absolutely normal and to be expected.
The final results will be seen after approximately one month, when the Hydrogel will be completely encapsulated.
Stretch marks may occur due to the rapid increase in size with Hydrogel implants
The final size and shape depends on what volume your buttocks had before the procedure and the amount of Hydrogel injected. If your skin is elastic, or there is excess skin more Hydrogel can be injected. However if your skin is not elastic and very tight this will lower the amount of Hydrogel that can be injected.
INSTRUCTIONS: HYDROGEL
1. Start taking your antibiotics the day before your procedure, if possible. If not, then please begin the day of your procedure and continue for 6 days.
2. Every time after showering, disinfect and put a gauze compress over the small hole in the body area where the Hydrogel has been injected. A strip of adhesive tape can be placed over the gauze in order to keep it in place
Things not to do for patients receiving Hydrogel Buttock Enhancement
DO NOT sleep on your back for 24 hours after your treatments. Please sleep face down or, if your doctor recommends otherwise, you may sleep on your side.
DO NOT sit down for long periods of time especially on any hard surface. 45 minutes is the maximum amount of time you should be sitting down without getting up. This applies for the first 24 hours after each treatment.
DO NOT take very hot baths or very cold baths/showers.
DO NOT put ice packs or heating packs on the area treated with Hydrogel
DO NOT perform excess high impact sports such as jumping, running, etc.
DO NOT expose the area treated by Hydrogel to direct sunlight until all bruising and swelling has completely disappeared, that is, approximately for 21 days (this includes your face area too.)
DO NOT have any sexual intercourse for the first 48 hours.
Things to do for patients receiving Hydrogel Buttock Enhancement
DO walk around in air conditioned areas.
DO massage the body area where the Hydrogel has been injected. Ask Dr. Di Blasi to show you how to massage the area. You will need to do this everyday for one month, twice a day.
DO take anti-inflammatory medication 2 times a day for 4 days.
DO work out after your treatment, but only do the following: walking, swimming, lozenges, stretching and Pilates.

The life of a keynote speaker comprises of daily appointments with clients, reviewing their itinerary for the week, researching for materials to use in their next discussion etc. This is the schedule of a full time keynote speaker while a part time speaker has another day job. The part time speaker only takes in clients and appointments during their spare time. Mostly during weekends, they do their research whenever they can and they are only booked during their free time. Having a day job means that they have a secure financial status in case there are no clients available or in case they are not hired. Below are a number of things a keynote speaker, whether full time or part time, do each day.
1) Checking For Clients – One of a keynote speakers daily routine is to check for new clients. They may have pending messages from their emails, their fax, or their answering machines. After checking all their messages they are to call back the potential clients and ask of they could have a meeting or an appointment if they have any questions they wish to inquire with the keynote speaker and to finalize their booking if they are truly interested. Part time speakers on the other hand check their messages only during their free time so they need to set up an appointment immediately with their potential clients.
2) Researching For New Material – A keynote speaker should always be on the move with new material each time they are hired. This is why they are always doing research and is always looking for new and fresh ideas that they can incorporate unto their discussion so that they can properly relay to their audience the topic and sub topics for them to better absorb and understand. They have a ton of books for their research and would constantly take trips to the library or is always online.
3) Balancing Their Schedule – Keynote speakers who have a day job keeps a very hectic schedule so they have to balance their daily work with their part time speaking. The best way for them to do this is to multitask, they can take in appointments during their day job and meet with potential clients during their break or during the weekend. These kinds of speakers are mostly single men who have all the time in the world. The part time job is really what they desire most but they also have to think of a time when they have zero clients and they need the extra cash.
4) Observing Other Speakers – The best way a keynote speaker can mature their performance is to observe other speakers in the field. How these other speakers do what they do best and how they perform on stage. They need to be on a constant pace of learning and in order to do that they need to observe other speakers during their discussion and discover exactly how they do what they do best.

Whenever you join a new company, you will be called to meet people of that company at an organized venue where your new company conducts a program to introduce newcomers to every employee of the company. It is a customary practice periodically implemented by companies across the world. And from strategic point of view, it is a good opportunity for the newcomer to know the employees of the company and also let them in turn know about him/ her. A smart employee always starts his successful journey in the new company with an effective Introductory speech. Read further, to know the tricks provided here to become a smart employee and also access the Introductory Speech Template for FREE.
Most of the employees may be technically good but very bad at expressing themselves. Shyness, stage fear, and hesitation to express one’s mind are the reasons for most of the people to step back from stage speeches. Most of the introverts face this kind of worst fear in their life and never could able to overcome the fear they have been holding for ages. On the contrary, extroverts won’t leave the stage when given a chance and they try to make an impression on their target audience, taking advantage of their nature.
Introductory speeches should not run more than 5 minutes. Within those few minutes, you should tell whatever you want about yourself. In other words, if spoken correctly, this much time is more than enough for any person on this planet to tell about himself. The only thing is that you need to take care of your thoughts, organize them, and decorate them with few nice smooth rhyming words before you let them hit audience ears. Always imagine that your words are your weapons and they have the potential to either make or break not only your career but also life.
Always structure your speech, chunk the critical parts into easily understandable sentences, and while giving speech, try to take gaps strategically so that the audience does not feel overwhelmed by your information. Do not bombard the audience with the list of companies along with the years you worked there kind of information. This kind of thing not only bores them but also make you lose their attention very quickly.
For people who are suffering with stage fear, here is the trick – while giving the speech, always try to see the last row audience and do not try to see anybody in particular until you complete your speech.
Please go through the sample Introductory Speech Template presented below. You can use this template without any hesitation of copyright violation and can also distribute to others who are in need of this.
Hi,
I am ___ (your name).
